Lan Peru to start flights to Easter Island in 2011

(07/08/2010)LAN Peru will start non-stop flights from Lima to Easter Island, in Chile, that will connect to Tahiti, serving a larger number of tourists, according to a press release.
This new service will start on Jan, 5, 2011, and also another service from Lima to Iguazu Falls in Argentina will start on Jan. 16t, as part of the airline's international network expansion.
Easter Island is a big leisure destination which has been served only from Lan's Santiago hub.
This new service from Lima will reduce the travel time for passengers heading to Easter Island from North America.
On July 1st, Lan Peru, an affiliate of Lan Airlines, launched a new international service connecting Lima to San Francisco in the United States, which will join the existing US gateways of New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
