(09/11/2010)Two airlines from Ecuador are interested in serving direct flights from Guayaquil to Piura, Chiclayo and Trujillo, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, reports TNews.

Peru's Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mara Seminario, said that her department is currently working with other governmental bodies to encourage more flights like these, that could be considered as local flights to reduce their costs.
Star Peru already has permits to fly to Ecuador this way, reports El Comercio.
Meanwhile, Peru's tourism minister, Martin Perez, said that this initiative may be started by Bolivian airlines that are interested in serving routes to Arequipa and Puno.
