LAKE 69 - 2 days / 1 night
Spectacular ascent to one of the most beautiful
lakes in The White Range (Cordillera Blanca), an intense turquoise lake on
the base of Chacraraju (6112 m.a.s.l.) and Pisco (5800 m.a.s.l.). During
the trip, there will be an explanation about Campo Santo, where Yungay was,
a city that disappeared by an avalanch caused by the earthquake in 1970.
Then you can enjoy Llanganuco Valley, surrounded by Huandoy, Huascaran, Chacraraju,
Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha and Pisco Peaks, where you can appreciate its immense
turquoise lagoons. The trail take us through a fascinating landscape of rivers,
waterfalls and mountains and let us to camp with the great view of Huascaran
North Face.

DAY 1: HUARAZ - CEBOLLAPAMPA - DEMANDA
Very early in the morning transfer from your hotel towards Llanganuco Valley. On the way, you can appreciate the magnificent and colorful Callejon de Huaylas (Huaylas Valley) with its green fields and white peaks, some of them more than 6000 meters, including the highest mountain in Peru, The Huascaran. During the trip, there will be an explanation about Campo Santo, where Yungay was, a city that disappeared by an avalanche caused by the earthquake in 1970. After that, it starts the ascent to Llanganuco Valley, surrounded by Huandoy, Huascaran, Chacraraju, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha and Pisco Peaks, where you can appreciate its immense turquoise lagoons. From Huaraz city takes 2 hours to arrive to Cebollapampa Valley, the start point of the trek. After 2 to 3 hours ascending through a fascinating landscape of rivers, waterfalls and mountains, you arrive to the campsite, a flat located in Quebrada Demanda (Demanda Valley) where there is a great view from the North face of Huascaran Peak and also the impressive Chacraraju. Overnight and dinner at campsite. LUNCH AND DINNER INCLUDED.
DAY 2: DEMANDA - LAKE 69 - HUARAZ
After breakfast, starts the ascent of 45 - 60 minutes to the fascinating Lake 69, where you will have plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the spectacular lake and Chacraraju Peak with more than 6000 meters. The descent to Cebollapampa takes from 1 to 2 hours, place where the car is waiting to take you back to Huaraz city. Arrival in Huaraz approximately at 4:00 p.m. and transfer to your hotel. BREAKFAST AND LUNCH INCLUDED.
