(09/18/2010)Tourists wishing to visit Cusco and see its archaeological monuments will soon be able to purchase tickets via Internet from anywhere in the world, through an electronic system that is to be implemented, reports TNews.

This would mean that potential visitors would save time, since they would not need to find a point of sale nor wait in line, and also would mean improving the control and minimizing the possibilities of a fraud.
The director of the National Institute of Culture (INC) in Cusco, Juan Julio Garcia, said that "the idea is to build a system similar to the one for buying plane tickets. Travelers can urchase online, print their tickets at home and enjoy their trip safely."
Garcia remarks that this will coordinated with the INC's headquarters in Lima, and it will also require to sign an agreement with the Banco de la Nación to facilitate payments.
