(09/30/2010)Regional governments of Apurimac and Cusco will sign in October an agreement to design tourism projects aiming to increase the number of visitors in these regions.
The Regional Director of Trade and Tourism in Apurimac, Roni Méndez Soto, said that this agreement will generate more new jobs, therefore creating better living conditions to the residents.

“This agreement will allow us to promote and boost yhe Nasca - Apurímac – Cusco touristic circuit, which will be operated by private companies, with the support of both regional governments,” said Méndez to Andina news agency.
Some of the main touristic attractions in Apurimac are Calle Miscabamba, considered as one of the oldest in Abancay, and the Micaela Bastidas Park, built during the Independence times.
